Precautions To Take During And After A Lash Lifting Procedure

These days, lash lifting is one of the most trendy permanent makeup treatments. It is a treatment that is not just safe but also gives great results. It is an easy procedure that needs low maintenance but shows long-lasting results. It is a treatment that gives enhanced look to natural eyelashes.

No doubt lash lifting kits are safe and easy to use but as they are used at one of the most sensitive areas of the body, so it becomes essential for us to take proper care while using them. Each eyelash lift kit comes with clear instructions that show, how the kit can be used. But for safe and effective results it becomes important for us to take some precautions during as well as after the procedure.

Use a good quality kit:-

We all know that there are various companies that offer lash lifting kits. But as the area of concern is eys and lashes, so it becomes essential for us to use a good quality product on them. Make sure that you will use a well-known brand that is known for its product quality. Using a good quality kit also helps to get effective results and keep the lashes and eyes safe for any reaction or allergies.

Have a look at duration:-

The next thing that one should always consider during a lash lifting procedure is duration. Each kit includes different ingredients such as perm lotion, setting lotion, and nourishing agent. Each of them has to be applied as per their turn. Make sure that you will use a particular ingredient for the required time only. For a safe result, do not use perm lotion and setting lotion for more than 15 minutes. Overusing the ingredients can damage the eyelashes and sometimes even causes mild reactions also. So it is important to use each of them for the required time limit only.


Avoid water for the first 24 hours:-

Each lash lifting procedure includes lashing perming, setting, and nourishing stage. The role of these stages is to give the natural lashes a new shape and to fix them to it. But when you wash your face or wt the eyelashes within the first 24 hours of the treatment, the effectiveness of the treatment reduces. So it is recommended by the experts even, to keep the lashes away from water for at least 1 day. So if you want to enjoy the results for 6-8 weeks, then just keep your eyes safe from water.

Avoid makeup:-

Just like water, makeup also reduces the effectiveness of the lash lifting treatment. Many of us use mascara after the treatment with the thought that it will help to keep the lashes in the new position and will make them look more beautiful. No matter either you have used a premium lash lift kit or any other kit, it is important to avoid applying any makeup or mascara after the treatment. This also helps to prevent any reaction of the treatment to the chemicals present in the makeup products.  Following proper precautions helps to get desired results.
